Jillian Mullowney

Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation Lead, Canadian Red Cross, Atlantic Canada

Jillian Mullowney (she/her) is the Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation Lead for the Canadian Red Cross in Atlantic Canada. Jillian has deployed to numerous responses across Canada including Calgary Floods (2013), Northern Alberta Wildfires (2016), Las Vegas Mass Casualty Event (2017), Mud Lake (2017), Froude Avenue Fire (2017), NB Floods (2018), Snowmaggedon (2020), COVID Support (2020-2022), BC Atmospheric River (2021), and most recently Hurricane Fiona. Jillian also supports responses in Atlantic Canada in a leadership support capacity. Jillian is experienced in all aspects of the Emergency Management Cycle and has a particular interest in moral injury, worker safety, and psychosocial support.

 

Jillian is  completing her Master of Social Work degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.
